Episode 3: Experience the Armband!

I've been trying for the last two days to upload a video but not only has the internet speed become slower, the phone lines (regardless of which network you use) have become unbearable. I was able to redeem my ticket to "The Experience" then the most stupid thing happened. I put on the ticket (it's an armband) and later discovered that I couldn't take it off! They designed it so that one can't send his ticket outside for someone else to reuse the same ticket and get in. I put it on five days early!

I had to take my bath with that stuff on my arm on Monday morning! My sleeves hid it when I went to work but I decided I couldn't keep doing that everyday till Friday. So, I forced the band off but it's partially torn now. I guess I can still use it to get in anyway. I thought those kinda things only happened in sitcoms. Anyway, this week has been off to an awesome start! Pop's new car was delivered yesterday (Monday), a 2008 Toyota Sequoia. It's huge! It makes the land-cruiser look small and it's packed full of features I didn't even know a car (besides the Bat-Mobile) could have!
Right now, I'm at the office working on an RSS Reader. I'll upload it when I'm done for you guys to download and use to keep track of this blog ;) I haven't had time for anime or games yet so I still can't blog much on those. The NBA is back and they say the 2011/2012 season starts on Christmas day. Oh, and one more thing. Happy Birthday to my closest male friend at U.I (University of Ibadan, my school), Ifeanyi!

Episode 2: Thanksgiving Weekend 2011

I just checked my yahoo mail and found a message that says "The Experience 2011 - Registration Successful". My lamentations in yesterday's post were premature, but now I have to redeem my ticket before 4p.m tomorrow. Now I just have to try and register for my friends, family and date. What? Is it bad to take a date to a gospel concert? Don't look at me that way.
I don't have much to say about this weekend besides the fact that tomorrow is the annual thanksgiving at my church, but next week is gonna be packed for me. The family should be moving to our new place at VGC this week. Throughout last week, the house was being renovated as the brand new beds and furniture were moved in. We taking nothing from our old house there. Then Friday will be "The Experience" gospel concert, all night long. And my younger brother, Femi, is coming back from school :)
Speaking of thanksgiving, this week was the thanksgiving week in the western world. I'm so jealous of those guys right now! They get to buy goods at half price or less on Black Friday! I had my eye on the Zelda 3DS Bundle and tried desperately to send some money to any of my friends. I just couldn't find a way to send cash to anyone but my cousin in Canada. Unfortunately, there were no Black Friday sales where he was :(
By the way, right now, I'm doing my I.T (industrial training as we call it in Nigeria, read: Internship) at my dad's office. I'm working as a computer programmer so my job is to create computer programs for his work. To keep the story short, let's just say he's running an NGO called NDF (Nigeria Development Foundation) so I'm going to be creating a lot of accounting and cash related software.
So until school resumes on Dec 19 (as the rumors say), I'll blog more about work than girls or basketball. Finally, just for the laughs, here's a music video that's so terrible, it's hilarious! Yes, even worse than Rebecca Black!

Episode 1: Wierdest Best Friend Premieres!

It's almost an hour past midnight and I've been spending the last two hours setting up this blog. I will randomly update this blog a few times a week. Of course, I'll have more time during weekends so let's assume I'll post once every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then maybe once more during the week. I'll more or less talk about events in my life and my reflections on them in with an episodic presentation.
So let's get right into it! The most memorable thing to happen to me in recent memory, very recent in fact, just happened forty five minutes ago. "The Experience" gospel concert, the largest gospel concert in the world has been held in the first week of December in Lagos since its premiere in 2006. It's a free, open-air, all night concert. This year however, we have to register at http://theexperiencelagos.com/2011/, and take the proof of registration (a code sent to your phone and email) to any branch of House On The Rock church to redeem your ticket.
Why? So they can see all the attendees before the concert. This minimizes the risk of Boko Haram ninjas bombing us during the concert. Annoyingly enough, I tried to register yesterday and saw a countdown timer that showed that the next round of registration began at midnight. When it was 12, I discovered that only 100 people could register per day! Between midnight and 12:10a.m, I watched 100 tickets slip by me as I struggled to register while fighting the tides of the heavy hits the site got within that time period! :(

Well, I guess episode 1 has been relatively boring but not everything has to start with a bang. Besides, I have a whole weekend before me to post!
